Kilfenora helps Clare win football final

Kilfenora’s Cian and Jack O’Dea were part of the Clare team that won a stunning victory against the odds over Kildare in the Division 3 Final at Croke Park on Saturday 23 April 2016.

The final score in a frantic, see-sawing match was 2-17 to 1-19, clinched by a point from Clare’s Eoin Cleary in the 76th minute.

Cian and Jack are part of a well-known Kilfenora sporting family, with highly talented sisters starring in GAA sports as well.

Cian made a brief appearance at home in Kilfenora during the open-air céilí led by the villages musical heroes, the Kilfenora Céilí Band.
