Road Works on Lisdoonvarna Rd

Clare County Council are planning road works on the R-476 from Kilfenora – Lisdoonvarna from the 18th of August to the 21st of August inclusive from 8am to 6pm.

Alternative routes / diversions:

To Lisdoonvarna from Kilfenora : Divert via R481 to Ennistymon and   N67 to Lisdoonvarna  (All traffic).

To Kilfenora from Lisdoonvarna : Divert via N67 to Ennistymon and R481 to Kilfenora (All traffic).

Council Public Consultation Workshops on Local Economic & Community Plan for Co Clare

Clare County Council and the Local Community Development Committee invite all interested stakeholders to attend public consultation workshops on the preparation of a Local Economic and Community Plan for County Clare. These workshops take place on:

  • Wednesday, 8th July 2015, Falls Hotel Ennistymon commencing at 7.00 p.m.
  • Thursday, 9th July 2015, Temple Gate Hotel, Ennis commencing at 7.00 p.m.
  • Monday, 20th July 2015, Oakwood Arms Hotel, Shannon commencing at 7.00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, 22nd July 2015, The Lakeside Hotel, Killaloe commencing at 7.00 p.m.

Referendum 2015 Information

Below is copied information received from the Referendum Commission.

On Friday May 22nd, Ireland will be voting in two separate referendums.

  • The Marriage Referendum: This asks do you agree to putting a clause in the
    Constitution which will allow two people to marry each other regardless of their sex.
  • The Age of Presidential Candidates Referendum: This asks do you agree to reduce the age at which a person may be a candidate for the office of President from 35 to 21.

The local polling station at which you can vote is indicated on your polling card and will be open on Friday 22nd May from 7am to 10pm. You will need your polling card and identification when you go to vote.

When you go to vote on 22 May, you will be given two separate ballot papers. The white
ballot paper is for the Marriage Referendum and the green one is for the
Age of Presidential Candidates Referendum. You may vote YES or NO to each proposal.
