Kilfenora stages an annual music festival in late April. In 2011, the dates were 28 April – 2 May 2011.
The first festival was held to celebrate the centenary of the Kilfenora Céilí Band in 2009. A highlight of the 2011 festival was a special concert with the band in its homeplace, on Friday 29 April 2011 in the Kilfenora Community Hall.
The festival featured ceilis on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday – with the renowned Shaskeen ceili band on that Saturday night. In addition, a galaxy of fine musicians – including many All-Ireland winners from the locality and beyond – will appear in the music sessions for which Kilfenora is so celebrated.
The festival also featured a dance workshop on Saturday afternoon, and a number of films and documentaries in a mobile cinema.
